25 Oct Dana DeMuyt, R.N.
Dana was born and raised in Indiana. Her interest in forensic science, human
biology, medicine and the healthcare fields led her to the University of
Indianapolis where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology. Upon
graduation, Dana worked in a clinical trials laboratory for five years. She soon
discovered her interest leaned heavier towards the medical and healthcare
profession, so Dana decided to change her career choice and went back to the
University of Indianapolis. After being accepted into their accelerated nursing
program, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing within 15
months, obtained her nursing license and began working at Community
Hospital North on the Progressive Care Unit in 2011.
Although Dana continues to work part-time in PCU, she is honored to be part of
the Logan Institute’s team full-time using her RN skills. She enjoys learning
new approaches to medicine and healthcare but most importantly, Dana loves
caring for others and teaching how to make alternative lifestyle choices to
improve their lives and wellness.
When not working, Dana enjoys traveling and learning about different places
and cultures. She also likes to spend time with family and friends, reading and
watching movies. Dana and her partner of 11 years, Kerry, have a 4-legged
baby named Toby who is a bulldog.
